Orlando Plastic Surgery Patient Affirms the Benefits Of Breast Augmentation
A patient of Orlando plastic surgeon Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani explains why she opted for breast augmentation surgery—and eventually swapped saline for silicone implants.
Orlando, FL – Rane used to wear a tank top under her shirts because they did not fit her the way they were supposed to. Her breasts were a small A cup and she felt uncomfortable every time she wore a swimsuit. Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani, a board-certified Orlando plastic surgeon, helped to dramatically boost Rane’s self-confidence.
Rane found Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani and The Aesthetic Surgery Centre through a lot of online research and finally decided to have breast augmentation surgery. “I did it to make myself feel better about the way I looked,” says Rane. In 2004, she chose to have saline implants and increased her cup size to a full C.
According to Rane, she was very nervous the first time she met with Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani at his Orlando plastic surgery practice. In regard to her initial visit, she says: “I didn’t know what to expect and I wasn’t comfortable being topless in front of my husband let alone a stranger.” Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani explained the different options available for surgery and Rane quickly felt at ease. After the consultation, she opted for High Profile implants, which provide greater projection and a more prominent profile for women with a narrower chest wall and a smaller frame.
While Rane was happy with her results, in 2011 she decided to undergo breast revision surgery for two reasons:
- She wanted to replace her saline implants with silicone due to look and feel
- She had some scar tissue that she wanted to address
“I did saline first due to my budget,” says Rane. “The silicone implants are definitely an upgrade. They look and feel so natural, it’s amazing. They are a completely different result than saline.”
For her second procedure, Rane wanted a larger implant. In order to increase the breast size using the silicone implant, Dr. Jon Paul Trevisani used the Keller Funnel system so he would not have to create a larger incision for the second surgery.
“I was worried about going too big the first time,” says Rane. “Going from nothing to a full C is a big difference but now I am a full D. They’re perfect and don’t look unnatural.”
She notes that while her husband didn’t understand why she wanted the initial surgery, he was fully supportive the second time around. (He now regrets that they did not opt for silicone implants for the first procedure.) Rane also says that their sexual relationship has improved after the surgery—prior to the surgery she did not feel comfortable with her body.
“I have gained so much confidence and self esteem by feeling comfortable in my body,” says Rane. “Some people say you don’t have to be perfect to be happy and that is very true. You don’t have to be perfect, but everyone should be confident about the way they look. Sometimes we just need a little extra help doing that.”
